The Polylog Foundation invites you to a special screening of the film "Oil"
On April 22, 2026, at the Eldar Cinema (105 Leninsky Prospekt), with the support of the Polylog Foundation, a special screening of the feature film “Oil” will take place, dedicated to the outstanding Azerbaijani philanthropist and pioneer of the oil industry, Haji Zeynalabdin Tagiyev.
The screening is timed to coincide with the Year of Unity of the Peoples of Russia, proclaimed by a decree of President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin.
The film, created in 2024 to mark the 100th anniversary of Tagiyev’s death, covers key events of the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Viewers will see how he developed the oil industry, built Baku’s infrastructure, opened schools, and provided support to people in various regions—from the Caucasus to Europe and Asia.
The film’s executive producer is Arzu Aliyeva, recipient of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan’s Award “For Merit in the Performing Arts” and the Award “For Contribution to the Culture of the Turkic World.”

7:00 PM — Main Hall: screening in Russian (guests gather at 6:30 PM)
7:00 PM — Medium Hall: screening in Azerbaijani
Small Hall — special screening for children under 12
