Dagestan Recognized as Russia’s Most Linguistically Diverse Region
On March 25, 2026, the Republic of Dagestan was officially recognized as the country’s most multilingual region. Experts from the INTERRECORD International Record Registration System confirmed the presence of 34 distinct languages in the republic, after which the achievement was included in the “Russian Book of Records.”
