The "Polylog" Foundation Initiates the Creation of a Monument to Yuri Temirkanov
The Polylog Foundation for the Development of Interethnic Relations has launched an important cultural and historical project: the installation of a monument to the distinguished conductor Yuri Khatuevich Temirkanov. The monument will be erected in Nalchik, the city where the maestro spent his youth and where the foundations of his creative journey were laid.
In the near future, the Polylog Foundation, in collaboration with the Russian Academy of Arts, will announce an all-Russian competition for the monument’s design. Professional sculptors and creative teams from across the country are invited to participate; the organizers look forward to a wide range of artistic solutions that capture the scale of Yuri Temirkanov’s personality and his contribution to world musical art.
The winning project will be brought to life and installed in Moscow. Thus, the monument will serve not only as a tribute to the great conductor but also as a symbol of the unity of Russia’s cultural space, acting as a bridge between regions and generations.
The Polylog Foundation expresses its sincere gratitude for the support of this project to:
The Head of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic; The Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation; The Mayor of Moscow; The Mayor of Nalchik; The Department of Culture of the City of Moscow; The Ministry of Culture of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic; The President of the Russian Academy of Arts.
Your attention and trust inspire us to pursue new projects dedicated to preserving the great heritage of our national culture.
This project underscores Polylog’s mission to strengthen interethnic dialogue through shared cultural values and the preservation of the memory of outstanding artists whose creative paths united different peoples and traditions.
