Dagestan Recognized as Russia’s Most Multilingual Region: The Republic Is Home to 34 Distinct Languages
A new record has been officially registered in Russia: Dagestan has been recognized as the country’s most multilingual region. Thirty-four distinct languages are spoken within its borders. The record has been confirmed by experts from the InterRecord International Record Registration System and entered into the Russian Book of Records. The event was organized by the “Polylog” Foundation for the Development of Interethnic Relations.
