In its appeal, the Polylog Foundation for the Development of Interethnic Relations addressed Moscow Mayor Sergey Semenovich Sobyanin with a request to consider naming one of Moscow's streets after the outstanding conductor, People's Artist of the USSR, and full chevalier of the Order "For Merit to the Fatherland," Yuri Khatuovich Temirkanov. The foundation also requested that relevant city authorities be instructed to work on this issue, taking into account the subsequent installation of a monument to the maestro.
